Hi there,

I am Leslie the instructor and piano enthusiast behind the Key Studio. I have been playing for over 25 years and teaching for the last 15. The piano has always been such a big part of my life and I am thrilled to have the ability to teach my passion to the next generation. The lessons are offered weekly with the option for online or in person classes. With today's technology there is even the option for video lessons, where you get to take your time learning with links to videos of my lessons. Whatever way you decided to learn, I am excited you are here and beyond thrilled you chose me to teach you/your child(ren). Please pick a lesson type, level, and class schedule that works best for you. I look forward to working with you on perfecting your keys.

My Story

I started teaching while I was going to college. It was a fun and easy way to fund my studies at Point Loma Nazarene. After I graduated, I kept up with my love of playing but halted the teaching for a while. I now have two children and love that I came back to my passion to teach.  This passion has now grown into teaching every day which gives me the flexibility to stay home with my kids while doing what I love. I am so grateful for this path in life, and I look forward to passing this passion to the next generation of pianists.

Piano Party
This quaint offering includes: a short story about Mozart, a few moments of piano play by the instructor, attendee interaction with instruments, lesson plans to take home or do at the party, and each attendee gets one trial class with the instructor to be used within 2 months of the event. The interaction is approximately 1 hour for up to 7 children. $120 without lessons for kids, or $300 with lessons for kids.)
Piano Pop-Up 
This event gives you the option to join in on classes without committing to a full month of lessons! The events are offered throughout San Diego County/City at least once a month. You sign up ahead of time and all you have to do it show up. These classes are not reimbursed if missed as they are on a tight schedule. You do have the option to switch it to a make-up class day at the additional cost of $15 to cover the instructors time. The next pop-up is around the corner.
$40 per lesson, discounts for multiple children signing up for the same pop-up at the same time.
